We look forward to talking with you.

The MLG Summer Fellowship is built around one core idea: good litigation depends as much on judgment and curiosity as it does on doctrine.

We designed this fellowship for law students who enjoy reasoning through uncertainty, synthesizing imperfect information, and producing careful written analysis on difficult questions. Much of the work you will encounter does not have clean answers—and that is intentional.

The application materials we request are not formalities. Each component helps us understand how you think:

  • Your resume provides context.

  • Your writing sample shows how you analyze and communicate.

  • Your project proposal gives us insight into your intellectual interests, initiative, and ability to design a piece of original legal work.

We are less concerned with prior exposure to our practice areas than we are with clarity of thought, depth of reasoning, and intellectual independence.

If selected, the fellow will spend the summer embedded in our litigation practice while completing an original research project developed in close conversation with MLG attorneys.
